My Story

Paul Bamford Photographer

Paul Bamford Photographer

I'm so glad my work has caught your eye. Over the past 12 years I've worked on a range of projects, from fashion to commercial, with large international companies to non-profits - but weddings, that's where I really belong.

Since photographing my first wedding in 2006 when I was 16, I've always viewed weddings as really awesome celebrations where you get to marry your best friend, and I love being a part of that!

Photographing ridiculously happy people in amazing locations is the best thing ever. I don't believe that couples should get pushed around and told how to pose just to get photos just like everyone else, I want to tell your unique story, and show your real love. I aim to capture genuine emotion and stories as they happen. When you look back at your wedding photos you should not only see what you looked like, but also remember how you felt on your wedding day. That's something very special.

So, what about you? What are you looking for in a photographer? What makes you excited?

Get in touch, let's start a conversation.

All the best,

What are your rates?

Fill in the form on the contact page or shoot me an email to receive all the info about my rates and albums.

Do you travel?

Sure do! I love to travel. I have photographed around QLD, The Whitsundays, Sydney, Melbourne, New Zealand, Canada, NYC and Spain! Love it.

How many images will I receive?

My focus isn’t on how many, but the quality of those images and the story they tell. There's no set amount, but my edits are usually on the larger side, it's typically around 800 - 1000, depending on how your day goes. All organised into sections to make it easy to find the images you're looking for.

Will you edit our images?

Every single one. I spend a lot of time making sure the colours look just right and removing that annoying blemish. What I don't do is over-done skin softening or fake 'Photoshopping' - I love natural, authentic images.

However, one of my first jobs was as a retoucher, so if there's something you need fixed, then I'm happy to do it.

What is 'full day' coverage?

Full day photography coverage of your wedding day from getting ready to the crazy dance moves at the reception. I think full day coverage is best. No need for a mock cake cutting or a fake first dance, we'll let things happen as they should. For me this is typically around 10 hours, sometimes more.

Do you offer albums?

Yes - albums are awesome, you can see examples on the album page. Fine art albums that tell your story perfectly.
